Preparation - Inside

The inside of the building was great when we first saw it (the before pictures below are actually photos from our first tour through the building). We replaced the lighting (including the ceiling fans) and painted the entire space.

Although the task was daunting, we had an enormous amount of help from a great group of volunteers.

Before

We rented a beautiful space with wood floors and a tin ceiling.

We took down the old lighting and ran conduit for the new lighting . . .

Here's the back corner, which includes a bathroom and dressing room.

During

The ceiling after we painted it (sorry, we don't have pictures of what we looked like after painting the ceiling with a paint sprayer, but you can imagine) . . .

Our new lighting . . .

The first wall painted!

The front of the store . . .

The newly painted dressing room. Thanks to betsy berkey for the wonderful stencil work!

The back of the store, fully painted. We replaced the old ceiling fans, too.

After

The floor cloth in the entryway was designed by betsy and painted by Kirstin.
